Madison, WI / May 3, 2025
Seven UWM and UW-Madison players convened on the outdoor courts at the East Madison Community Center. For almost everyone, this was their first time playing 3-wall, but that certainly didn't show as the day went on with increasingly high caliber of play.
The day started out with some 1-wall accompanied with some tips on how to adapt to the 3-wall game. After some initial games to get used to the courts, coach Ben Van Arsdale and Madison resident Sean Doyle joined in for some Hi/Lo doubles matches. Everyone was able to play 4 matches to 11 with different partners with each person keeping track of their total points scored. The players with the most points were:
Piper - 44 points
Kerington - 35 points
T3. Ruben - 31 points
T3. Jose - 31 points
Afterwards, the team gathered at the Lazy Oaf Lounge for some lunch and more smack talk. Overall, it was a great way to start out the outdoor season, and the team is looking forward to playing more 3-wall throughout the summer.
